I am running for Vice Chair of the Davis County Republican Party

Last April I ran for Chair of the Davis County Republican Party along with three other good men. After four rounds of voting Rusty Cannon narrowly passed by me and won the election. About eight months later Rusty resigned and Kris Kimball became the new Chair.

During the last eight months I have served as the Chair of the Ethics Committee of the DCRP. I've had the opportunity to work with both Rusty and Kris and have been very impressed with their dedication and service to our party.

I would be honored to serve with Kris, as the Vice Chair of the Davis County Republican Party.

When I ran for Chair I made several commitments many of which have been implemented by both Rusty and Kris such as improved communications from the party, delegate training, updated website and solid dates for events.

As the Vice Chair I will help Kris to meet the goals of the party. I will help with fundraising and organizing the party. And I will work with the members of the Executive Committee and the other great Legislative, Senate and Precinct Chairs and Vice-Chairs.

I have strong organizational and leadership skills and I know how to work with people and bring the best out of people. I am a very committed high achiever.

I am devoted to the Republican Party and I support both the County and State platforms.
I love the opportunity a good challenge presents and I am confident that I posses the people skills and background to work with you and do great things with the Davis County Republican Party.

Not Without Mercy

I just finished writing my first novel, Not Without Mercy. It is a historical fiction based in 14th century England during the Black Plague. The story revolves around a man who is trying to save his family and loved ones from the plague. My publisher expects to have the first book of what will most likely be a trilogy out before Christmas 2011. My editor on the other hand, is doing everything she can to make sure that I save my readers from imperfections. The editing process is almost worse the the writing process. I am excited and I hope that you will enjoy the story as much as I have enjoyed writing it!
